Why use nitrogen to inflate my tires?
There are a few advantages to use nitrogen when filling up your tires. First, nitrogen atoms are bigger than an oxygen atom. This helps prevent losing pressure as bigger molecules are less able to permeate the tire’s rubber and seep out. Also, being an inert gas, nitrogen-filled tires maintain a much more consistent pressure in all ranges of temperature, from frozen winters to the scorching heat of summer.
Since nitrogen-filled tires keep a more consistent pressure, it helps provide better handling, better fuel economy and prevent premature wear.
