How old are my tires? Are they still good?
New tires are considered to be fit for retail up to five years from the date of production. When installed, it is recommended that tires are replaced when they reach between 7 to 10 years of use depending on the conditions they were subjected to. You can find your tires' production date in the DOT number on one of the sidewalls. The last four digits of that number indicate the week and year of production of the tire. In the example above, the tire was made in the 13th week of 2017.
